Las Vegas Dining Guide 2026
UPDATED MARCH 2026 · 5 MIN READ
Las Vegas has evolved from a city of buffets into one of the most exciting dining destinations in the world. With more celebrity chef restaurants per square mile than any other city, plus a thriving local food scene that rivals much larger metros, Vegas offers something for every palate and budget.
Celebrity Chef Destinations
The Strip is a showcase for culinary legends. Gordon Ramsay operates multiple concepts across several resorts. Nobu Matsuhisa's Japanese-Peruvian fusion at Caesars Palace remains a reservation worth planning around. Josel Andres brings his innovative Spanish cuisine to The Cosmopolitan. For Italian fine dining, Giada De Laurentiis at The Cromwell combines Strip views with handmade pasta that justifies every dollar of the premium pricing.
Dining Districts
The Strip: High-end resort restaurants, steakhouses, and tasting menus. Budget $75-$300 per person for dinner at top venues.
Downtown / Fremont: A resurgent food scene with chef-driven independents. Carson Kitchen, Esther's Kitchen, and Le Thai offer excellent meals at moderate prices.
Chinatown (Spring Mountain Road): Vegas locals consider this the best dining corridor in the city. Outstanding Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese restaurants stretch for miles along Spring Mountain, most with prices well under $30 per person.
Henderson & Summerlin: Suburban dining hubs with a mix of upscale chains and excellent independents. Lower prices than the Strip with comparable quality.
Practical Tips
Reservations are essential for Strip fine dining, especially on weekends. Book two to four weeks in advance for top restaurants. Lunch specials at many celebrity chef restaurants offer the same food at 40-60% of dinner prices. Tipping standard in Las Vegas is 18-22% for sit-down dining. Late-night dining is a Vegas specialty, with many restaurants serving full menus until midnight or later.
